#GOP Quietly Working On Plan B to #Trump

Boehner, the former House Speaker firmly entrenched in the 'Establishment', has recommended Paul Ryan, the current Speaker should be nominated if the first ballot fails. Plan B, clearly in the works, is being floated as a trail balloon for public reaction. Ryan, a smart politician that senses the winds of political change, said he would not accept the nomination.

"The speaker is grateful for the support, but he is not interested. He will not accept a nomination and believes our nominee should be someone who ran this year," spokeswoman AshLee Strong told NBC News.

Former House Speaker John Boehner said current Speaker Paul Ryan should be the Republican Party’s nominee for president if the GOP fails to chose a candidate on the first ballot.

“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” Mr. Boehner said at the Future Industry Association conference in Boca Raton, Florida, Politico reported. “They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I’m for none of the above. I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.”
