Tax and Spend

Tax and spend (1,2), the doctrine of socialism since 1934, is increasingly weighing US economic growth. The majority, though recognizing 'something' is wrong, is still reluctant to demand enough is enough. Americans, in large part, view socialism as an economic and social norm that has and always will exist. Only a complete failure of its problems will convert a growing minority to a majority necessary to support and enact change. Until then, the minority will gain converts as the US economy likely enters official recession from 2016 to 2017. The Economic Activity Composite (EAC) , contracting for nearly a year, anticipates this outcome.
